The Turkish drama will premiere this Monday, October 4, on the Hispanic channel, under the local title Él es mi hijo.

For the first time for the Hispanic audience in the US, the Turkish drama The Boy is premiering on Universo.

The drama will debut on the NBCUniversal channel this Monday, October 4 at 7:00 p.m.

Distributed internationally by Global Agency, the drama tells the story of Akça (Merve Çağiran), a mother who sets out on a journey in search of her son she once gave up for adoption to give her a better life.

After discovering that her son is unhappy in her new home, Akça confronts the powerful adoptive family, unleashing a series of unexpected twists and turns that unmask the darkest and most intimate secrets during each hour-long episode.

Produced by 1441 Productions, the drama originally premiered as Cocuk on September 9, 2019 on Turkey’s Star TV.

It stars Nazan Kesal, Ismail Hacioglu, Serhat Teoman, Merve Cagiran, Ceyda Ates Toplusoy, and Kenan Acar, among others.
