Shooting Module 4, which houses Globo’s three newly opened studios, began its operations this week with the shooting of the new telenovela Amor de Mãe, that will premiere in Brazil next November.

The plot, developed and written by Manuela Dias and with artistic direction by José Luiz Villamarim, features the stories of three women with different backgrounds who meet through their love for their children.

The protagonists Lurdes, Thelma and Vitória are played respectively by Regina Casé, Adriana Esteves (Brazil Avenue) and Taís Araújo (‘Aruanas’). The cast also includes names such as Isis Valverde (‘The Edge of Desire’), Thiago Martins (‘Brazil Avenue’), Jéssica Ellen (‘Harassment’), Nanda Costa (‘Brave Woman’), Murilo Benício (‘Brazil Avenue’), Chay Suede (‘Empire’), Fabrício Boliveira (‘A Second Chance’), Vladimir Brichta (‘A Second Chance’) and Irandir Santos (‘Old River’).

With the opening of MG4, the Shooting Module 4, Globo now owns 13 studios, expanding its capacity for producing telenovelas, series, miniseries, reality shows, original format shows, humor and variety shows. The complex has a total area of 1,73 million square meters, where 192 thousand square meters are buildings.

Amor de Mãe is the first telenovela shot in the new studios, developed based on a new concept of TV production, offering more artistic resources for creation, direction and photography. With fixed settings, the shooting modules feature integrated sets, resulting in more realistic productions.

The new facilities also count with IP protocol connectivity. The solution allows the traffic of large amounts of information and greater agility in the shooting and editing processes. Wireless equipment replaced cameras and microphones cables. And the three new studios are ready to work in the 4K and 4K HDR formats.
