After closing a partnership with Thema, a Canal+ company, Globo takes its premieres to the Asia TV Forum & Markets (ATF).

ATF is the most crucial event in the entertainment and media content sector in Asia, in which Globo will participate hand in hand with Thema after closing an exclusive distribution agreement to promote its premieres and most successful telenovelas, series, classic dramas and sale of formats for local adaptations, as part of the Brazilian company’s desire to position its content in Asia.

Fábio Mauro, the representative of Globo’s Content Distribution and Partnerships, has stated that combining these ATF products with Thema is crucial to expand their presence in Asia. “Asia is a strategic territory for Globo, and we are thrilled about this partnership, which will undoubtedly introduce our stories to new audiences,” he emphasized.

Some of the titles Globo will be presenting at ATF are the telenovelas Tierra de Deseos, currently airing in prime time in Brazil, Sólo Confia, and Amor Perfecto, which aired this year.

Globoplay Originals, such as the telenovela Todas as Flores and Intolerantes, Globoplay’s most popular series in Brazil, are also among Globo’s bets at ATF. Avenida Brasil, a product sold in more than 140 countries, El Clon, and India: A Love Story are some of the great dramatic classics in the event’s portfolio.

Globo offers a range of TV formats that can be adapted to local productions. These include popular telenovelas like La Favorita and Fina Estampa, comedy series like Shippeados, drama series like Por Segunda Vez, and children’s content such as Detectives of the Blue Condominium.

To expand the reach of its business model, Globo has recently announced the sale of the Avenida Brasil format to Ay Yapim, a Turkish production company. Additionally, Globo is currently airing Salve al Rey in Japan, while Avenida Brasil, Bajo Presión, and Verdades Secretas premiered in Japan and Vietnam last year.
