The telenovela is also one of the highlights of Globo’s portfolio for Content Americas this month.

Globo’s telenovela, Tierra de Deseos, premiered as an audience leader on Paraguay’s Telefuturo on January 8. Its first broadcast reached more than 80 thousand viewers and peaked at 50% share. The plot continues the success of Pantanal, Globo’s telenovela that aired last year on Telefuturo and reached 50% share in its first episode.

Tierra de Deseos also airs in primetime in Brazil and is written by Walcyr Carrasco, Emmy award winner for Verdades Secretas. The telenovela is also one of the highlights of Globo’s portfolio for this month’s Content Americas.

The plot tells the story of Aline (Barbara Reis of Todas Las Flores), a young woman who sees her family scarred by a crime. Driven by the desire for redress, her story intersects with that of Antônio La Selva’s (Tony Ramos, from India: A Love Story) family, which is divided by ambition and many secrets.
