The partners announced that a new series Oríllese A La Orilla, the spin-ff of 40 Y 20, directed by Loza, will be the official first project for Lado B.
Award-winning filmmaker Gustavo Loza partnered with Emmy Award nominated producers Ricardo Coeto and Francisco Cordero to create Lado B, a new production company that will focus on comedy projects.
“Lado B was born as a production company specializing in the development and production of sitcoms and comedies in general with the highest quality standard at an international level. It is such a delight to partner with Loza on this new venture”, said Coeto.
With a successful career spanning over two decades, Loza has captivated audiences with his unique storytelling and directorial skills. “Gustavo is known for his master ability to blend humor and heart, he takes audiences on a journey that explores our cultural clash and resonates with all Mexicans”, added Cordero.
“Lado B promises to bet on quality projects that are attractive to the public, regardless of the theme, whether it is a family, a group of friends, an office, or a space mission, where creativity and the producers’ know-how are the great strength”, commented Loza.
Lado B was born after the parts worked together on the recently released film Welcome Al Norte, adapted, and directed by Loza and produced by Cordero and Coeto.
“Welcome Al Norte, is a delightful cinematic experience that depicts a side of Mexican people that we don’t see often”, mentioned Cordero. The film, which is still showing on cinemas in Mexico, offers a fresh perspective on the challenges and triumphs faced by individuals who venture north in search of a better life.

Starring Michelle Rodriguez and Armando Hernandez, (Toña and Brayan) respectively in 40 Y 20. Loza’s creative vision shines through in this new series, which pledge to be a fresh and hilarious addition to the streaming platform.
The company confirmed production of four more projects beginning in 2024.
