The new channel will launch across nine countries, including Panama, Paraguay, Colombia, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Nicaragua.

Gusto TV is proud to announce that it has partnered with Millicom (Tigo), a leading provider of fixed and mobile services dedicated to emerging markets in Latin America, to launch a Spanish language linear cable channel across nine countries.

“Hispanic cultures place such great import on food, family, and togetherness,” says Chris Knight, President and CEO of Gusto Worldwide Media. “These are values that we also champion in our programming,” says Knight. “A lot of hard work goes into launching channels in nine countries, and the teams at Millicom across Latin America have been great partners since day one.”

Already a leading provider of fixed and mobile telecommunication services in Latin America, Millicom will be distributing the channel to its 50 million customers in Panama, Paraguay, Colombia, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Nicaragua.

“In Tigo we have constantly opted for innovation, constant search for content and alliances that generate value for our customers. This new channel represents a quality entertainment option that enhances the culture of Latin America, and we are sure that it will be well received by our customers,” says Daniel De Simone, Chief Content Officer of Millicom/Tigo.

Since its launch in 2013, Gusto TV has prided itself on being a channel that celebrates the cultures and cuisines of the world. Through partnerships like this one, Gusto TV hopes to grow their Hispanic audiences even more.

“We see tremendous synergistic growth opportunities in bringing Gusto TV to Spanish-speaking audiences. I want to thank everybody at Frida Media for facilitating this agreement with Millicom (Tigo),” says Carrie Gillis, VP & General Manager of Gusto TV.
