The universe of the one of the most beloved comics in Brazil will gain a new chapter in the real world. Taking advantage of the anniversary celebration of HBO Max, the streaming platform announces the beginning of the recordings of Franklin and Milena in Search of Science, a new live-action series co-produced by Cartoon Network in partnership with Biônica Filmes and Mauricio de Sousa Produções.

The direction is by Mauro D`Addio and has artistic supervision by Daniel Rezende, responsible for the popular adaptations for the big screens of Monica and Friends: Bonds and Lessons. The series will be starring Fabrício Gabriel, in the role of Franklin, and Bia Lisboa, as Milena.

Together, the duo embarks on a fun journey, with the purpose of discovery through scientific thinking. Franklin, with his ability for exact and inventions, and Milena, a new and powerful friend, full of attitude, curiosity, and a natural talent for biological subjects, will throughout the series create a strong friendship full of collaboration and learning. Guided by Milena, Franklin begins to communicate better and clearly transmit all his knowledge, while the girl, full of intelligent and interesting questions, perceives herself as a scientist too.

All content, including the series scripts, was closely monitored by researchers from the Instituto Serrapilheira, who provide technical-scientific support for this universe of science that is built in the narrative.

The series is produced by Biônica Filmes, with Mauricio de Sousa Produções and Cartoon Network, and the support of Instituto Serrapilheira. It’s created by Fernando Fraiha, with Daniel Rezende as Artistic Supervisor and Mauro D’Addio as General Director.
