Commissioned by ITV in the UK, Queens For The Night will launch as a special in Q4 2022

ITV Studios has acquired the exclusive rights to produce Tuesday’s Child’s upcoming primetime celebrity drag contest Queens For The Night in each territory it has a non-scripted production base, as well as distribution rights for the format and finished versions worldwide (excl. UK). In the US, ITV America and Tuesday’s Child will co-produce.

Commissioned by ITV in the UK, Queens For The Night will launch as a special in Q4 2022, hosted by Lorraine Kelly, featuring Spice Girl and pop icon Melanie C on the judging panel and Coronation Street favorite Simon Gregson as one of six celebrities to undergo the ultimate drag makeover, mentored by some of the most successful Drag Queens in the business.

Queens For The Night is a brand new primetime entertainment show where a cast of celebrities will be mentored by the best Drag Queens to channel their inner diva and compete in a truly fabulous competition. It will feature jaw-dropping transformations, high-heeled hilarity, heart-warming stories and must-see performances in everything from singing and dancing, to lip syncing, comedy, impressions and magic all designed to impress the glamorous judging panel and studio audience. Who will wobble and who will wow? Only one can be crowned the ultimate Queen for the Night and get to proudly wear the tiara!

ITV’s premiere will be hosted by drag superfan and renowned presenter Lorraine Kelly, and will feature a celebrity judging panel including Spice Girl and pop icon Melanie C, stand up comedian Rob Beckett, World famous Drag artist Courtney Act and star of Bad Education and West End hit Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Layton Williams – each offering their thoughts on our famous novices as they attempt to master this flamboyantly entertaining skill.

Celebrating the art and appeal of drag in spectacular style, a selection of famous faces will undergo the ultimate drag makeover including Coronation Street Simon Gregson, fitness icon Mr Motivator MBE, Love Island star and TV presenter Chris Hughes, member of popband Union J and I’m A Celebrity runner up George Shelley, actor and soap star legend Adam Woodyatt and England rugby star Joe Marler.

The show will see some of the most successful Drag Queens in the business become mentors to each of the celebrities. Blu Hydrangea, Kitty Scott-Claus, La Voix, Myra DuBois, Asttina Mandella, Margo Marshall will be using their expert knowledge to guide and teach our famous students, as they prepare and perfect their drag personas.
