ITV Studios has announced the first international sales of the new period drama The Forsytes, including its arrival in Spain through Movistar Plus+.

British critics have received the series enthusiastically. Outlets such as the Daily Mail, Heat, TV Times and Radio Times have praised its aesthetic, performances, and ability to refresh a classic with a modern and appealing approach.
In addition to its broadcast in the United Kingdom and Ireland, The Forsytes has been acquired by ABC in Australia, TVNZ in New Zealand, Virgin Media Ireland for the Republic of Ireland, and by Movistar Plus+ for Spain and Andorra, ensuring its distribution in the Spanish market.
The series will also arrive in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Latvia, Croatia and Israel. Viasat World has closed a pan-regional deal for its Epic Drama channel in twenty-two countries across Central and Eastern Europe and the Baltic states. Virgin Atlantic will also offer the premiere on its onboard entertainment platform.
Tom Clark, executive vice president of global sales and commercial strategy at ITV Studios, said the company is delighted to bring this new version of the saga to audiences around the world and highlighted the strong impact it is already having among British viewers.
The Forsytes features a cast led by Francesca Annis, Jack Davenport, Tuppence Middleton, Stephen Moyer and Eleanor Tomlinson. It has already been renewed for a second season even before the completion of filming for the first, with the intention of becoming a long-running series.
Set in 1880s London, the story explores the life of the influential Forsyte family during a period of rapid social change. The plot centers on the tensions between duty, reputation and personal desire, with forbidden romances, clashing loyalties and secrets that threaten to break the family’s rigid rules.
Directed by Meenu Gaur, Annetta Laufer and Andy Newbery, and produced by Mammoth Screen and Masterpiece, the series brings together a broad international cast and revives the Forsyte universe for a new generation.
