EFD Studios announces the appointment of José Miguel Álvarez Ibargüengoitia as General Manager of EFD Studios Mexico.
With over two decades of experience in communications, audiovisual production, and public policy for film, José Miguel brings to the company a profile widely recognized within the Mexican film ecosystem.
At the Mexican Film Institute (IMCINE), he has coordinated programs focused on the development of Mexican cinema, supporting production, and promoting Mexican films at international festivals and markets. His career also includes responsibilities at UNESCO, TV UNAM, and Radio Educación, as well as extensive teaching experience at various higher education institutions.
José Miguel Álvarez Ibargüengoitia expressed the following regarding his joining EFD Studios: “I am thrilled to be part of this project, led by Georgina Terán and Nacho Carballo, to strengthen the audiovisual ecosystem in Mexico and the region.
