Classic series such as El Chavo del Ocho or Pasión de Gavilanes, along with more recent -but not new- titles such as El Payaso Plim Plim, stand among premieres and new shows in Parrot Analytics’ list of most popular series in Colombia.

Nostalgia seems to be a key element of the quarantine in Colombia, where classic series such as El Chavo del Ocho or Pasión de Gavilanes have returned to the screens of Colombian homes.

Thanks to their availability on digital platforms such as Netflix, the Mexican series, originally released in the 70s, positioned itself in third place in Parrot Analytics’ ranking of most demanded series in Colombia for the week of June 22 to 28, with 18.1 times more demand than the average series.

The Elizondo Sisters Go On The Defense, an episode of the 2003 Colombian telenovela by Caracol Television, followed in fourth place with 17.7 times more demand.

Meanwhile, Argentine kids series, El Payaso Plim Plim, from 2011, ranked eighth in the general ranking with 16.3 times more demand, also completing the Hispanic content in the ranking.

Animated series, meanwhile, led the overall ranking with Peppa Pig in first place (18.9x) and Naruto in second (18.6x), while Paw Patrol was in sixth place with 17.6 times more demand.

The list is completed by The 100 (fifth, 17.6x), Game of Thrones (seventh, 17.2x), Dark (ninth, 15.9x) and The Walking Dead (tenth, 15.1x).

On the digital series side, Colombian Netflix series Narcos is the only Latino representative on the list, ranking sixth with 8.5 times more demand than the average series.

The digital ranking for the most demanded series in Colombia is led by Netflix’s Dark (15.9x), followed by DC Universe’s Titans (10.2x) and the Disney+ original series, The Mandalorian in third place (10x).

Stranger Things and Anne with an E, both from Netflix, stand in fourth and fifth place with 9.7 and 8.9 times more demand, respectively.

Four Netflix series close the ranking: She-Ra and the princess of power (seventh, 8.1x), 13 reasons why (eighth, 8.1x), The Witcher (ninth, 7.2x) and Lucifer (tenth , 6.6x).
