Mega is the first Latin American broadcaster to adapt the French format by Endemol Shine Group.

Chilean network Mega has started production on Dale play, the local adaptation of the French format The Big Music Quiz (Le Grand Blind Test), by Endemol Shine Group.

The production, they detailed, is being carried out under “strict sanitary and safety measures.”

As revealed, the acquisition of the format was closed in April, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic and in order to “bring quality entertainment to the homes of all families in times of confinement.”

In Dale Play, eight celebrities will have to guess who is singing the song, overcoming a series of hilarious challenges such as listening to famous melodies or guessing a song played ten times faster or trying to sing it in another language.

They must complete six rounds and, unlike the original version, this time Mega will deliver millionaire money prizes to those who win.

“To win millions, you just have to know who sings the song, it’s as simple as that,” said Ignacio Corvalán, executive producer of the program.

France, Australia, Germany, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands are some of the countries that have already adapted the format.

Chile, due to the contingency, will be in the first country in which the show takes place with a virtual audience.

Its premiere will be this Thursday, May 14 after Meganoticias.
