MipCancun Ends Virtual Edition with Positive Balance

With more than 600 participants and an agenda full of top-level conferences and international announcements, MipCancun Online+ concludes a positive digital edition.

This Friday, November 20, the 2020 edition of MipCancún Online+ came to an end, an event that was held entirely virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the organization, the digital event had 600 participants, representing 500 companies and 44 countries.

One of the highlights of the event was its powerful conference line-up. It featured panels and keynotes from prominent international companies such as Disney +, Amazon, Netflix, Telemundo International Studios, MGM and Sony; and executives such as Marcos Santana, Leonardo Aranguibel, Paco Ramos, Cynthia Hudson, Armando Bo, Pablo Iacoviello or Sebastián Ortega, among others.

There was also time for several showcases from companies such as Inter Medya, Globo, INCAA, NTV or Korea Content Village.

The event also featured the second edition of the MipCancun Formats Pitch, the format competition held in conjunction with all3media International, which crowned the Brazilian Building Battles by Elo Company as its great winner.

And among the large number of sales announcements and co-productions made within the framework of the event, highlights include the adaptation of 9 Reinas to series by BTF, the first-look deal between VIS and Magnus Studios by Marc Anthony; and the sale of The Ambassador’s Daughter to Univision.
