The new titles are Twisted Affairs, One More Chance and Our Father

Madd Entertainment unveiled three of Turkey’s most popular primetime series today at Mipcom: the female-focused Twisted Affairs, the school days drama One More Chance, and the critically-acclaimed Our Father. All three ongoing series hail from top producers and rank among Turkey’s most highly-rated dramas.

Medyapim set the world on fire with the groundbreaking hit series A Woman Scorned, and now they’re set to do it again with Twisted Affairs, the story of a good woman pushed past the brink when she discovers her husband has been cheating on her with her best friend. She gave him the perfect life, and he paid her back with betrayal. The experience turns her into a completely different person, as she fights to protect her children and herself.

Twisted Affairs is adapted from the hit Korean series The Queen’s House and features an all-star cast, including Hatice Şendil (A Part of Me, Dila), İsmail Demirci (The North Star, Crash), Sera Kutlubey (Hercai) and Perihan Savaş (The Pit). It airs under the title İyilık on Turkey’s top-rated FOX network, where it is the one of the top-rated programs on Friday nights.

One More Chance is a stylish new drama from NTC Medya set at an elite high school, where three kids from the wrong side of the tracks investigate their friend’s suspicious suicide. They followed a mystery but found a new life among Istanbul’s super-wealthy – and a glimmer of hope for their future. On the cusp of adulthood, they are given another chance at life. This hit series airs on Turkey’s FOX network under the title Tozluyaka, where it rocketed to #3 on Sunday night just behind last season’s hit series Family Secrets.

A serious story about beautiful people, One More Chance is powered by a strong ensemble of talented young actors, including Emre Kınay (Sunshine Girls, Waiting for the Sun), Dolunay Soysert (Wings of Love), Tayanç Ayaydın (Orphan Flowers, Flames of Desire, Sıla), Serra Pirinç (Our Story), Ecem Çalhan (All about Marriage, Northstar), Haktan Zavlak (My Son, Forbidden Fruit), and Çağla Şimşek (For My Family), as well as fresh faces Miraç Sezen and Ulvi Kahyaoğlu.

Next up is Our Father, Ay Yapim’s family drama about Emin, a hard-as-nails village patriarch whose life turns upside down when his estranged brother dies in a plane crash along with his whole family. Emin’s brother became one of the richest men in Turkey. As his only living relative, Emin is now the head of the powerful Saruhanli Holding Company. He and his family undergo a radical change in circumstances, as they move to Istanbul, and the trappings of wealth and power transform their lives – and threaten Emin’s iron grip.

Headlining Our Father is Haluk Bilginer, who won the 2019 International Emmy Award for Best Actor for his leading role in Persona (Şahsiyet), an Ay Yapim crime drama that was recently adapted as Asesino del Olvido for HBO Max. Co-starring as his hard-headed son Kadir is Tolga Sarıtaş (Arıza, The Oath, Magnificent Century). The series is written by Gökhan Horzum and Ekin Atalar, best-known for their hit series The Pit, and directed by Çağrı Bayrak (My Home My Destiny, Daydreamer). Our Father averaged a 5.4 rating in the coveted ABC+ cohort and remains one of Show TV’s top-rated dramas under the title Baba ranked as the 3rd most watched series of Tuesdays.
