This is the first co-production between Spain and Serbia, and filming will begin at the end of the year.

RTVE has joined Prime Video and Telekom Srbija in the international television adaptation of Cicatriz, the best seller by Juan Gómez-Jurado, as the companies announced this Tuesday during Mipcom in Cannes.

Produced by Plano a Plano and Dopamine, in collaboration with Asacha Media Group, it has a script by Pablo Roa and Fernando Sancristóbal, responsible for great international hits such as La casa de papel, and Verónica Marza.

It is based on the novel by the most widely read Spanish thriller author in the world, very popular in southern and eastern Europe, including the Adriatic countries. An action thriller about a brilliant but lonely businessman who, about to close a deal that will bring him millions of euros, meets a young woman with a long-planned mission of revenge.

The production of this eight-episode fiction will begin at the end of the year and will be filmed in Spain and Serbia, under the direction of the award-winning Miguel Ángel Vivas (La casa de papel). Casting will be announced soon.

An ambitious project with a very universal theme throughout Europe, with RTVE and Prime Video Spain joining forces with Telekom Srbija in this first large-scale co-production between Spain and the Adriatic countries.
