As announced by the executive, ex-Kanal D International, OGM is about to launch a global distribution arm.

OGM Pictures is set to launch a global distribution arm headed by Ekin Koyuncu, former CEO of Kanal D International, and now Global Distribution & Partnership Director of OGM.

According to the executive, “while the production side is growing strongly each day, now we are about the launch our Global Distribution company for both Turkish and international content.”

“Our aim is not only to grow our library with our ambitious upcoming titles but to create new business lines with partners around the globe,” said Koyuncu.

OGM Pictures is responsible for titles such as The Innocents (Masumlar Apartmanı) that aired on TRT; Red Room (Kırmızı Oda) a series for TV8; Chrysalis (Camdaki Kız), that aired on Kanal D; My Home My Destiny (Doğduğun Ev Kaderindir) also for TV8; and the recent Golden Boy (Yalı Çapkını), on Star TV.

The Turkish company has also worked extensively with Netflix, with titles like The Gift, Paper Lives, One Way to Tomorrow, Last Summer, Yakamoz S-245, Another Self and The Festival of Troubadours. For Disney he has produced the upcoming series Ben Gri.

“OGM Pictures was founded in 2019, and within this short time period, the company became one of the leading producers of Turkey for both linear and non-linear with outstanding track record,” adds the executive. “OGM Pictures is also the first Turkish production company whose works are on international digital platforms such as Netflix and Disney (Ben Gri – Upcoming Series) and made an indelible impression among both international on Turkish audience.”

Ekin Koyuncu has an experience of more than 12 years in the industry. She led the sales of Kanal D International in Central Europe and Eastern Europe, before, in 2021, being announced as the new CEO of KDI.
