The factual slate features science docs Rain Bomb, The Real Truth, and Eclipse Across Europe; and the political titles, Strike on Iran: The Nuclear Question, and The American Revolution.

International distributor PBS Distribution is present at Content Europe, which is taking place this week at the Marriott Hotel in Lisbon, to present its new catalog of unscripted titles and docuseries to the international market.

First on the science slate is Rain Bomb: International scientists use advanced technology to study a destructive weather phenomenon called a “rain bomb”. Rain bombs form suddenly beneath thunderclouds, producing intense rainfall and hurricane-force winds at ground level. They cause loss of life and property damage but are little known to the public. What causes these events, how do they become self-generating, will they worsen as the planet warms, and how can we protect homes and businesses?

Then there’s The Real Truth: Bold, cheeky, and contemporary, this series cuts through wellness myths to reveal the real science behind stress, fat, sugar, smoking & vaping, sex and vitamins. Each episode tackles trending topics, debunks misconceptions, and explores how wellness culture shapes what we believe and buy. Sharp, witty, and bingeable, it’s the show that makes you rethink everything you thought you knew about health.

Lastly on the science front is Eclipse Across Europe: On August 12, 2026, Europe will witness a rare total solar eclipse as the moon’s shadow crosses Greenland, Iceland, and Spain, reaching an estimated 980 million viewers. Racing at 1,500 mph and spanning 190 miles, it promises to be the decade’s most talked-about natural event. This one-hour special offers a front-row seat with expert insights, stunning visuals, and a countdown to totality.

Moving over to Current Affairs, the group is presenting Strike on Iran: The Nuclear Question: Amid new attacks by the U.S. and Israel, investigating Iran’s nuclear program. An updated and expanded investigation, drawing on reporting in Iran and in-depth forensic analysis with The Washington Post, Evident Media, and Bellingcat. 2026 News and Documentary Emmy Award Nominee.

Lastly, PBS is presenting The American Revolution: A Film by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt: Thirteen American colonies unite in rebellion, fight an eight-year war for independence, and create a new government that inspires democratic movements worldwide. What begins as a political clash with Britain becomes a global conflict involving more than two dozen nations, reshaping history. Told in a cinematic style and voiced by an all-star cast, The American Revolution brings the nation’s founding to life. Now ready in time for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, this is the definitive story of how a fight for representation became a revolution that changed the world.
