The executive’s appointment coincides with PBS Distribution’s debut in the Latin American market, with programs such as Lyla In The Loop, A.I. Revolution, and Fly With Me.

PBS International wants to expand its activity in Latin America and has promoted Sabrina Hall Aguirre to sales manager for the region. Aguirre will be tasked with building partnerships and driving sales in Latin America and will focus on selling factual and children’s programming to buyers throughout the region.

Joe Barrett, vice president of global sales for PBS International, said the move was part of a strategy to “expand the business in the Latam region…”

His appointment coincides with PBS Distribution’s debut in the Latin American market, with programs such as Lyla In The Loop, A.I. Revolution, and Fly With Me.

Earlier this month, PBS hired BBC Studios executive Eniela Bella to work on its co-productions and distribution efforts.

Bella will become director of co-production financing and sales and will be responsible for setting strategy, forecasting, and negotiations for the co-financing of unscripted projects, with a particular focus on the French and German markets.
