RMVISTAR founder and president, Rose Marie Vega, announced today that the company picked up the worldwide rights for all platforms to Finding Grace and Vampyra, a pair of series formats from noted film/TV screenwriter Barney Cohen.

The deal marks the first between RMVISTAR, the boutique content distribution company celebrating its 10th anniversary, and Mr. Cohen.

Mr. Cohen is best known in Hollywood for his film and TV screenwriting and productions – Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, creating the Gemini Award-winning series Forever Knight (CBS, USA Network), writing and producing the Showtime movie, Sabrina the Teenage Witch to launch that series, and more recently the Spanish Civil War feature film, Guernica (Amazon), co-written with the Spanish screenwriter Carlos Clavijo.

Said Ms. Vega: “To have the opportunity to introduce series fueled by Barney’s pithy writing, fully-realized characters and joyful plots to a global audience will be a guilty pleasure for all of us at RMVSITAR.”

Said Mr. Cohen: “Having met Rose Marie a few years ago, a new window has opened for me. Ever since Guernica, I’ve been looking for someone like Rose Marie Vega to expand my reach worldwide as I’m now prepared and eager to travel and work hand-in-hand in cities around the world.”

The dramedy Finding Grace (13×30), co-written with recent Comedy Hall of Fame inductee, comedian Grace Fraga (The Steve Harvey Show), focuses on the life of a millennial stand-up comedian living in Los Angeles. Grace is looking for Mr. Right and always finding Mr. Wrong. When she gets a 13-week gig at a high-end hotel in Cabo San Lucas, her Mom comes for a visit and decides to stay, and Grace discovers the reason why her love life is an epic fail.
