The next edition of Series Mania will take pace on March 21-28, 2025; and the Series Mania Forum will take place on March 25-27, 2025.

Series Mania has come to a close, with record numbers for this year’s edition. The event exceeded exceeded 98,000 spectators, a 15% increase on last year.

As for the Forum, 4,200 professionals from 72 countries gathered at Lille Grand Palais.

This year, new countries took to the festival’s red carpet (Latvia, New Zealand, South Africa, Taiwan), and international stars such as Patricia Arquette, Jeremy Irons, Kelly Rutherford, Michael Chiklis, Peter Mullan… all made the trip.

These 7 intense days were punctuated by emotional moments, standing ovations and special moments with the audience, whom we warmly thank for their loyalty and enthusiasm.

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

The international jury, chaired by French-American director and screenwriter Zal Batmanglij (A Murder at the End of the World, The OA), the International Competition jury, will gather German actor Malick Bauer (Sam: a Saxon), French-Argentinian actress Bérénice Bejo, French-Swedish director Charlotte Brändström (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power), French actor and producer Sofiane Zermani (The Wages of Fear, Spirit of Ecstasy) awarded 4 prizes among the 9 series presented in world or international premiere in the presence of their teams.

Best Writing: Thomas Wendrich for Herrhausen – The Banker And The Bomb (Germany)
Best Actress: Annette Bening in Apples Never Fall (Australia,USA)

INTERNATIONAL PANORAMA

The International Panorama, presided over by American writer Douglas Kennedy, with French actress Suzy Bemba (L’Opéra, Poor Things), South Korean producer Hojin Kwon (SBS Media Group), French screenwriter Clémence Madeleine-Perdrillat (Drops of God, Irresistible), Israeli producer Danna Stern (In Transit Production), awarded 4 prizes among the 12 series presented in French, European, and world previews.

Best Series: Dates In Real Life (Norway)
Best Directing: Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo for La Mesías (Spain)
Best Actress: Robyn Malcolm in After The Party (Australia, New -Zealand)
Best Actor: Kārlis Arnolds Avots in Soviet Jeans (Latvia)

FRENCH COMPETITION

The jury, made up of international press journalists, Doris Priesching, Der Standard (Austria), Cédric Petit, Le Soir (Belgium), Nanna Frank Rasmussen, Politiken (Denmark), Alessandra de Tommasi, Vanity Fair, Leggo (Italy) and Philippe Congiusti, RTS (Switzerland), awarded 4 prizes among the 6 French series presented in World Premiere in the presence of their teams.

COMEDY COMPETITION

AUDIENCE AWARD

This prize is awarded to the audience’s favorite series among all the titles in competition – except for Short Forms-, voted on at the end of each screening.
