This Monday, December 11, the nominees for the 2024 Golden Globes were announced, with 27 categories divided between 15 for film and 12 for television.

This year, a single representative from the Hispanic world made the list, with the Spanish film Society of the Snow competing in the Best Foreign Film category.

The box office hit of the year, Barbie, dominated the film categories with 10 nominations, becoming the second most nominated film in history along with Cabaret.

As for television, this year’s big competitor is the HBO drama Succession, with nine nominations and leading the list. They are followed by The Bear, from FX, and Only Murders in the Building, from Hulu, with five each.

The winners will be presented at a live ceremony on January 7.
