NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises announced on Wednesday the creation of Telemundo Streaming Studios, the first Hispanic media studio dedicated exclusively to serving the growing Latino streaming audiences in the US and around the world.

After a decade of successes on different streaming platforms with original titles such as The Lord of the Skies, The Queen of the South, The Inmate, You cannot hide, Play with fire and, more recently, Tell me who I am, 100 days to fall in love, False identity and Mariposa de barrio, Telemundo is investing in expanding its production capabilities to create premium original fiction content, uniquely designed to meet the growing needs of direct-to-consumer platforms.

In addition to developing and producing its own IP (intellectual property), the new studio will offer production services to direct-to-consumer platforms seeking high-quality production capabilities and expertise.

The new production unit launches with more than 35 projects in development and production, including the comedy-drama Woman Guns for Peacock and seasons 4 and 5 of the hit Netflix hit El Marginal, as well as the remake of the internationally acclaimed Tale of a Clan, the upcoming seasons of The Recluse, a remake of The Diary of a Gigolo, and the action series The Immortal.
