Its telenovela Doménica Montero has now secured broadcast deals in more than 70 countries across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, establishing itself as one of the most widely distributed titles in the company’s recent catalog.
The production, starring Angelique Boyer and Marcus Ornellas, has delivered strong results since its premiere on Univision in the United States in December 2025. According to the company, the series reached more than 8.6 million viewers in the US market and became the number one primetime telenovela in Mexico during its run on Las Estrellas.
Beyond its linear television performance, Doménica Montero also emerged as a key driver of subscriber acquisition and on-demand consumption on ViX, reinforcing TelevisaUnivision’s strategy of maximizing the value of its scripted content across multiple platforms.
In recent months, the telenovela expanded its presence across Latin America with launches in Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Peru, the Dominican Republic, and Paraguay. According to the company, the title ranked among the preferred primetime programs in several of these markets.
The international rollout has also extended into Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Among the territories that have acquired the production are Spain, Andorra, Romania, Moldova, and Israel, as well as several African markets, highlighting both the enduring appeal of the telenovela genre and the ability of Latin American stories to resonate with audiences worldwide.
Based on the original story by Inés Rodena and Caridad Bravo Adams, this new adaptation reimagines the classic narrative for contemporary audiences through more complex characters, modern conflicts, and high production values. The series is executive-produced by Carlos Bardasano.
The international success of Doménica Montero follows a string of recent achievements for TelevisaUnivision in the global marketplace. Among them is Las Hijas de la Señora García, which reached more than 50 countries during 2025, further underscoring the company’s strength in exporting Spanish-language scripted content to audiences around the world.
