The day was marked by international sales announcements from distributors and platforms in Latin America, Europe and Turkey. In addition, it featured The Wit’s first Fresh TV session dedicated to young adult series, and a keynote by international football star, David Beckham.

1. David Beckham offered a standout keynote

In his first in-depth speech on the television industry, Beckham spoke about launching his own production company, Studio 99, and presented some of its projects, such as the documentaries A Whole New Ball Game and World War Shoe, and a series for Disney+, Save Our Squad.

2. The Wit inaugurated a new Fresh TV session

The consultancy firm presented the first Fresh TV session dedicated to content for young adults, a list marked by trends such as nightlife and clubs, content about women, and animation, where Paraíso by The Mediapro Studio, stands out as the only Hispanic title.

3. RCN announced the sale of the second season of Enfermeras to Telemetro de Panama

After consolidating itself as one of the most watched productions in Panama, the Panamanian channel Telemetro premiered the second season of the Colombian series, starring Diana Hoyos, Sebastián Carvajal, Nina Caicedo (Sol Angie) and Julián Trujillo (Álvaro), who in this new installment will face new professional and personal challenges that will change their lives.

4. Madd Entertainment announced deals in Asia and Latin America 

The Turkish distributor sold its dramas Flames of Fate, produced by Ay Yapim, and Nehir, produced by Medyapim.

5. Mistco announced the sale of The Great Seljuks: Guardians of Justice to beIN Media Group

The Turkish distributor announced that his hit drama will premiere in the MENA region through beIN Media Group during Ramadan. It will also reach new territories in Asia and Europe, in a deal to be announced soon.

6. All3Media sold its drama The Drowning to Acorn TV for LatAm and the US

The international distributor announced an agreement with AMC Networks that will see the premiere of the thriller in the US and Canada on Sundance Now and Acorn TV, which will also offer it in Latin America. The agreement joins others closed for Europe and Asia.

7. Globo sold its docuseries On Behalf of God to Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland in Germany

8. BBC Studios’ Doctor Foster to be adapted in the Philippines

BBC Studios and ABS-CBN announced a deal for the Philippine adaptation of the psychological drama that follows the story of a trusted doctor whose life falls apart when she suspects her husband is having an affair.

9. Armoza Formats appoints a new Head of Sales

Armoza announced the appointment of Salomé Peillon as Head of Sales, while Elizaveta Makarova joined the team as Sales Executive for Eastern Europe and the CIS territories.
