The Spanish series ranked third among non-English speaking series and seventh in the general TV ranking, regardless of language.

After several months on Atresplayer Premium, on February 11 Netflix premiered the second season of Toy Boy globally. And, same as it happened with the first, its success was “viral”.

The Spanish series produced by Plano a plano immediately entered the Top 10 of non-English series on the platform. And this week it even improved its ranking.

According to Netflix’s weekly ranking, the second season of Toy Boy was viewed during the last week a total of 23.8 million hours.

With that number, it ranks third among non-English speaking series and seventh in the general TV ranking, regardless of language.

It surpasses, in fact, heavyweights like La Reina del Flow, Ozark or Desencanto.

But in addition, dragged by the success of its second season, the first was also among the most watched with 21.4 million hours of viewing. Between the two, they add up to 45.2. Toy Boy would thus be the second most viewed “non-English” series, only surpassed by the Korean hit All of Us Are Dead (62.1).

The “non-English” ranking, moreover, was once again dominated by content in Spanish, with seven appearances: Toy Boy 1, Toy Boy 2, Cafe con aroma de mujer, Dark desire 1, Dark desire 2, The queen of flow 2 and Ugly Betty.

Completing the Top 10 are the Korean All of Us Are Dead, the Italian Devotion and the Japanese Fishbowl Wives.

At a general level, the most watched series was the American Inventing Anna from Shondaland and the most watched movie was The Tinder Swindler.
