The 12th edition of Latin America’s biggest film and TV festival will take place from Nov 30th to Dec 4th at the Kirchner Cultural Center in the Argentine capital.

Ventana Sur, the event devoted to the film and TV industries in Latin America, backed by the Cannes Film Week, announced the dates and a new venue for its 12th edition.

The festival will take place from Monday, November 30th through Friday, December 4th at the Kirchner Cultural Center (CCK) in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Formerly used as the country’s central post office, built in a Beaux-Arts style, the CCK became a cultural center in 2015 and will offer Ventana Sur a much broader venue, as explained by Jérôme Paillard from Cannes Film Market, co-director of Ventana Sur.

Facilities offered by the CCK include a 1,950-set concert hall and multiple auditoriums.

Ventana Sur will be backed by the government of Alberto Fernández, its Minister of Culture, Tristán Bauer and Luis Puenzo, President of the INCAA Argentine Film Institute, both being distinguished filmmakers.
