The series will be made up of 10, 60-minute episodes and star Adriana Ugarte, Javier Albalá, Iván Massagué, Blanca Portillo, Patricia Vico and Michel Brown, among others.

During the first day of Conecta Fiction Reboot, Fernando López Puig, Director of Content and Channels at RTVE, revealed that the Spanish channel is working together with ViacomCBS International Studios (VIS) and Onza Entertainment on a new original thriller: Parot.

And now, VIS revealed new details of the project, which has just started filming in Madrid.

As anticipated, the series will have 10 episodes of 60 minutes and will star Adriana Ugarte, Javier Albalá, Iván Massagué, Blanca Portillo, Patricia Vico and Michel Brown, among others.

“We are very excited to be able to develop and produce the Parot series together with RTVE and Onza, betting once again on alliances with large industry partners as part of the studio’s comprehensive strategy,” said Federico Cuervo, SVP & Head of VIS Americas.

“This agreement encourages us to continue developing content with a local impact, but with a global scope, to deepen the relationship with the VIS EMEAA team based in Madrid and led by Laura Abril, SVP VIS EMEAA & Brands South Hub”, he added.

Written by Pilar Nadal (showrunner), Alonso Laporta, Olga Salvador, Mauricio Romero, Luis Murillo and Luis Murillo Arias, Parot is based on the cancellation of the Parot Doctrine in Spain in 2013, a decision that annulled the modification in the form of counting the sentences of those convicted and led to the release of almost a hundred prisoners.

In this context of chaos and social upheaval, those released start to be murdered in the same way that their victims were.

Isabel Mora, an upright and persevering policewoman, will risk everything to catch the person responsible.

Under the direction of Gustavo Ron and Rafael Montesinos, Parot has a stellar cast that includes Adriana Ugarte (Isabel Mora), Javier Albalá (Jorge Nieto), Iván Massagué (Haro), Blanca Portillo (Andrea Llanes), Patricia Vico (Ana Hurtado), Michel Brown (Plaza), Nicole Wallace (Sol), Antonio Dechent (the curator), Marcos Marín (Abaño), Rodrigo Poison (Perea), Nacho Fresneda (Patas) and Max Mariegues (Basauri).
