Antena 3 announced that it will premiere the Turkish drama Woman (Mujer) this Tuesday in its primetime. It will be the first Turkish series to reach prime time on a main network in Spain.

In January 2018 and after seeing the results in Latin America, Nova, the Atresmedia channel specialized in telenovelas, finally dared to take the plunge with Turkish dramas with the premiere of Fatmagul. And the results were difficult.

Since then, the Turkish phenomenon has more than consolidated in Spain. Of course, always through the so-called “niche networks”, Nova and Divinity.

But as of this Tuesday, the Turkish boom in Spain will take a new leap, with the premiere of the Turkish drama Woman (Mujer) by Antena 3, which will, in addition, do so in prime time.

Distributed by Calinos, Woman will thus become the first Turkish drama to reach prime time on a main network in Spain. The eyes of the world will undoubtedly follow its performance.

The premiere will be at 10:45 pm.

Based on the Japanese series Woman: My Life for My Children (from the same creators as the drama Mother), Woman revolves around Bahar’s story of self-improvement, love, solidarity and secrets, played by award-winning actress Özge Özpirinçci.

Woman’s excellent performance has been global. This story crossed borders, being sold in territories such as the US, Mexico, Argentina or Brazil.

With several awards in its collection, the production has won awards at the Tokyo Drama Awards, and at the Altın Kelebek Awards, for best actress and best kid actors.

The cast also includes Caner Cindoruk, Bennu Yıldırımlar, Erif Erol, Seray Kaya, Gökçe Eyüpoğlu and Feyyaz Duman.

Written by Hande Altaylı, Woman is directed by Merve Girgin Aytekin and Nadim Güç.

Co-produced by Med Yapım and MF Yapım for Fox, the fiction was the most watched of the day during all of its broadcasts in Turkey and was the most successful series of its channel during 2018.
