The local adaptation of the successful Spanish entertainment format, co-produced by Univisión and Endemol Shine Boomdog, will premiere on the Hispanic channel within the Family Sundays block.

Univision’s Domingos en Familia (Family Sundays) is set to premiere for the first time in Spanish-language television in the U.S., the international hit music competition Tu Cara Me Suena (Your Face Sounds Familiar).

Starting on Sunday, October 4 at 8:00 pm ET, music, one of the biggest passion points for Hispanics, will bring families together to experience a never-before-seen singing competition where eight A-list celebrities will transform themselves into music icons each week. Undergoing extreme makeovers in order to sing live, the contestants will impersonate larger than life performers.

Tu Cara Me Suena will be hosted by the charismatic Rafael Araneda, host of UniMás hit reality show Enamorándonos (Love is in the Air), and the beloved and popular actress Ana Brenda Contreras, hosting for the first time a reality show in the U.S. The contestants will be guided by vocal coaches, choreographers, staging, and acting experts to ensure the highest-level performance week over week.

The awarded music composer and lead singer of the popular group Reik, Jesús ‘Chuy’ Navarro, has joined the renowned panel of judges that includes singer, host and actress Charytín; singer, composer and Latin Grammy winner Kany García; and actress, singer, comedian, and TV and radio personality Angélica Vale.

The talented actress, singer and TV personality Amara La Negra is confirmed as backstage host bringing viewers the latest updates from behind the scenes as well as the audience comments on social media.

The eight celebrity contestants who will transform every Sunday into musical idols, and the charities they will represent, will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

Tu Cara Me Suena is a co-production of Univision and Endemol Shine Boomdog.

Given the current circumstances imposed by COVID-19, Univision will follow strict guidelines and restrictions, in full compliance with local authorities and public health recommendations to bring this new show.
