The executive spoke to ttvnews at the LA Screenings about the success of the American adaptation of the Argentine format and announced that she is in negotiations for new local adaptations in European countries.

Present on the first day of LA Screenings Independents 2023 in Los Angeles, Rose Marie Vega, president and founder of RM Vistar, spoke to ttvnews about the distributor’s catalogue, especially its flagship product, La chica que limpia.

“The format of La chica que limpia in its American version, The Cleaning Lady, Fox announced that its third season is beginning, a great achievement for an American remake of an Argentine series,” said the executive.

The second season of The Cleaning Lady averaged 5.4 million total cross-platform viewers, more than doubling its Live + Same Day installment by 152%.

“And now, we continue to see other countries where production will be done with local versions in Europe. It’s a dream,” she added.

The American version is produced in partnership between Fox Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television. The Argentine edition was produced by Jaque Content (ex Germina Films) and aired in 2017 on the Argentine platform Cine.ar Play.

In addition to the US, the series was adapted in Mexico as La muchacha que limpia, produced by BTF Media for WarnerMedia Latin America.

As for the rest of the catalogue, the executive was enthusiastic about its potential and the differential it brings to the international market. “My lineup has me excited because I think it is again a product that brings something new to the table, something unique with strong and compelling characters. And I think that’s why people come to see RM Vistar, because what’s coming is very good.”

Finally, Marie Vega referred to the current state of the industry and encouraged her colleagues to face the new challenges with energy.

“The industry is going through another strong change and you have to be patient. With patience and time our dreams can come true. These are difficult times, but you have to be more creative, adapt to change and get to know your colleagues, to advance projects. So that the platforms know different looks and that is what we put our name on”, she concluded.
