Directed by Jorge Dorado (El Embacadero, Mindscape), nominated for the MIM Awards for this work, The Head is a survival thriller narrated in six 50-minute episodes and set in an isolated and inaccessible Polar Research Station in Antarctica. .

The series was born from the collaboration between Ran Tellem (Homeland), director of International Content Development at The Mediapro Studio, and Àlex and David Pastor (The Occupant, Carriers, The Last Days, Eternal), who have described it as «a thriller claustrophobic with a central mystery. The Pastor brothers co-wrote the script with Isaac Sastre.
