Fell-Murray joined The Kitchen in 2021 as a Project Manager and is now celebrating her fifth year with the company.

Language localization company The Kitchen has announced the promotion of Leia Fell-Murray to the newly created role of Senior Manager of Global Operations, where she will oversee the studio’s global Project Management teams and supervise projects from inception through final delivery.

Fell-Murray joined The Kitchen in 2021 as a Project Manager and is now celebrating her fifth year with the company. During her tenure, she has played a key role in optimizing the studio’s international operations, helping implement platforms and systems that improved efficiency, streamlined workflows, and increased operational flexibility across teams.

“My goal is to create internal processes that allow our teams to focus more on delivering exceptional work and less on administrative complexity,” said Fell-Murray about her new position. “As our industry continues to evolve, staying adaptable and embracing innovation will always be essential.”

Originally from Chile, Fell-Murray graduated from Duoc UC in Santiago, where she began translating films for friends and classmates, an experience that sparked her interest in the localization industry. She later studied at the New York Film Academy and worked as a videographer, video editor, and subtitle editor before relocating to Miami.

“Localization brings together several of my greatest interests: production, language, music, film, and television,” she said. “It is a unique intersection where creativity, technology, and cultures meet, allowing content to connect with audiences around the world.”

Her bilingual background in Latin American Spanish and American English, combined with her multicultural experience, has enabled her to work on projects across a wide range of international markets.

Deeny Kaplan, Head of Global Sales and Marketing at The Kitchen, highlighted Fell-Murray’s leadership and client management skills. “Leia has a confident and experienced approach to working with clients. I know that any new project entrusted to Leia and her team is destined for success,” Kaplan said.

The Kitchen describes itself as the only Emmy Award-winning language localization studio in the industry. It holds TPN Gold Badge certification, ensuring the highest levels of security and protection for the content it manages.
