MipCancun 2023 is getting ready to close its doors. The tenth edition of the event, which is taking place up until tomorrow at the Moon Palace Resort Hotel in the Mexican city, has brought together more than 800 participants, with 30% of buyers having made their debut at the event.

“We are super happy for this tenth anniversary that we are celebrating this week,” shared with ttv the director of the event, María Pérez-Bellière. “Beyond the numbers, that are important, what we always focus on is maintaining this community that we have in MipCancún, this big hug, as I call it, that makes a difference and allows us to be where we are.”

Pérez-Belliere highlighted the great dynamic and quality of the meetings, the central element of MipCancun: “The agendas have been full and that is an excellent sign that what we are doing we are doing very well.”

“We also launched the Fast & Global: Americas Summit this year, which was a huge success, with extremely relevant content for our community,” she added.

The event has also served as the setting for a good number of screenings, such as those carried out by Globo for Land of Desire; Inter Medya for Leylifer and Sony Pictures Television for Playa Soledad; as well as for important keynotes, such as those provided by Nadav Palti (CEO) and Joshua Mintz (CCO) of Dori Media; and Carlos Quintanilla, SPT VP of Original Content for Latam and US Hispanic.

“We have had very good responses [about the event] and we are delighted to be able to continue cultivating that sense of community towards the entire region,” Pérez-Bellière said.
